BOMBANANA! Tips and Tricks: 9 Rules That Save Runs
Most BOMBANANA! runs are not lost on rule knowledge - they are lost between players. These nine tips come from the patterns that end runs in the 30-level campaign, and every one of them is about moving an answer intact from the manual to the bomb.
The Nine Rules
- Position plus action, never sentences: 'third from left, cut' beats 'I think you should probably cut the third one'.
- Re-describe after every input: panels change state, and the old answer dies the moment you press.
- Nod in parts: the mute player should split two-stage answers into two nods instead of one long confirmation.
- Fixed vocabulary from bomb one: numbers from the left, exact color names, no 'that one'.
- The deaf player describes in a fixed order: module type, colors, numbers, lights - same order every time.
- The blind player calls back actions: 'pressed the middle button' keeps the team's panel model current.
- One lookup at a time: the mute player should not read ahead while a bomb is live.
- Failures get a vocabulary audit, not an argument: where did the answer stop being useful?
- Use Custom mode to drill the module that killed you, not the whole random draw.
Why the Timer Makes This Matter
The no-timed-input accessibility mode is a great training tool, but real campaign levels run a clock. Every wasted word costs seconds, and the timer makes inefficient communication expensive long before the modules themselves become difficult.
The teams that clear the hard stretch around levels 21-24 are not the ones who memorized the manual fastest - they are the ones whose answers never need to be said twice.
Practice Routine
A solid weekly routine: one Endless session for lookup speed, one Custom session per weak module, and one campaign push. Review each failed bomb in one sentence: which player had the correct answer, and where did it stop?
